Agreeing to these terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“aura,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using aura, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use aura.
Who can use aura
You must be at least 13 years old [or 16 in the EU/UK] to use aura. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
Your account
- You can sign up with an email and password, or with your Google or Apple account. If you use Google or Apple, their terms also apply to that sign-in.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Your username must not impersonate anyone, infringe a trademark, or be offensive. We may reclaim usernames that break these rules or are inactive.
- One person per account. Don’t sell or transfer your account.
Your content
You own the boards, captions, images, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”).
To run aura, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and copy Your Content. We use this license only to operate and improve the Service, and only for the audience you choose. For example, a private board is shown only to you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people already saved, or copies we must keep by law.
When you add something to a shared board, the other collaborators on that board can see, comment on, and rearrange it.
Saving others’ work & copyright
aura is built for collecting inspiration, which often means saving images made by other people. Please:
- Only upload content you have the right to share.
- Keep the source link when you save from the web, so creators get credit.
- Respect creators who ask for their work to be removed.
If you believe something on aura infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at [copyright@hello-aura.com]. Include the details required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers. [Register a DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office before launch.]
Community guidelines
aura should feel like a good place to be. Don’t use it to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or encourage harm against anyone.
- Post hateful content targeting people based on who they are.
- Share sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Promote self-harm, violence, or illegal activity.
- Spam, scam, or mislead people, or impersonate someone else.
- Share someone’s private information without permission.
- Scrape, hack, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
You can report a hue, board, or person from the ••• menu. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules.
Sharing, invites & planning tools
Only invite people who would want to hear from you. Board owners can remove collaborators at any time. Anyone can leave a shared board.
Polls and group chats Coming soon follow the same community guidelines. Messages are visible to everyone in that chat.
aura’s brand & service
The aura name, logo, design, and software belong to us and are protected by law. These Terms don’t give you the right to use them, except as part of using the Service normally.
We are always improving aura. We may add, change, or remove features. If a change significantly affects you, we will try to give you notice.
Third-party services & links
aura links to websites and services we don’t control, including the sources of saved hues and the Google and Apple sign-in services. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, create risk for others, or that we are legally required to close. Where it makes sense, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
