Overview
aura (“aura,” “we,” “us”) is operated by [Company legal name], based in [City, State]. aura lets you collect inspiration into moodboards, share them with friends, and plan things together.
This policy applies to the aura website, apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). By using aura you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
Information we collect

How we use it
- To create and secure your account, including signing you in with Google or Apple.
- To run core features: saving hues (the images you collect), building boards, sharing and collaborating with friends.
- To show you relevant boards and ideas inside aura.
- To send account and service messages, like password resets, invites, and important updates.
- To keep aura safe: preventing spam, abuse, and fraud, and enforcing our Terms.
- To understand how aura is used so we can improve it.
We will ask for your permission before sending marketing emails, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who can see your boards
Every board has a visibility setting that you control:
- Private: only you.
- Shared: you and the friends you invite. Collaborators can see and add to the board.
- Public Planned: anyone on aura, and possibly people who have the link.
Your username, display name, and profile photo are visible to other aura members.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within [30] days. Some data may be kept longer if we are legally required to, or in backups for a short period.
Boards you shared with others: when you delete your account, the hues you added to other people’s boards are [removed / kept without your name].
Your choices & rights
- Access and export: get a copy of your boards and account data.
- Correct: edit your profile any time in Settings.
- Delete: delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. This also removes access granted through Google or Apple.
- Disconnect Google or Apple: you can also revoke aura’s access from your Google Account or Apple ID settings.
Depending on where you live (for example California, under the CCPA/CPRA, or the EU/UK, under the GDPR), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to certain processing or filing a complaint with a regulator. To make a request, contact [privacy@hello-aura.com].
Children
aura is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. [If you launch in the EU/UK, the minimum age may be 16 without parental consent.] If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
Security
We use industry-standard protections. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls that limit who can see each board. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
International users
aura is based in the United States, and your information may be stored and processed in [United States / region of your Supabase project]. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this page last changed.
